So you’ve decided to start a wedding registry through Honeypot – yay! Welcome to the Honeypot community. In order to help you make the most of your Honeypot experience, we’ve put together a few handy hints.

Plan out what you want to do on your honeymoon

Have a think about the essentials of your honeymoon (flights, accommodation etc.) and then what you’d quite like to do. Because you don’t know how much you’ll receive, it’s a good idea to make the items on your registry “nice-to-haves”. Make sure you’ve got enough to have a lovely honeymoon regardless of the gifts you’re given – the gifts just affect how much extra fun you can have, or how much money you come home with!

Think about alternate items

Honeypot isn’t just a honeymoon registry – you can include anything you like, whether it’s asking for contributions towards a new lounge suite, a new TV, help towards getting a baby’s room set up, or date nights out once you’re married. It’s totally up to you!

Share your registry

Don’t forget to include your registry URL (unique to you) on your invitations so your guests can easily find it. If anyone loses their invitation, they can always search for your registry from the main page to find you. If you’ve created a Facebook event/group or a wedding website, be sure share the link on there. Alternatively, if you’re sending out a reminder about the wedding via email, you can easily link to your registry from there as well.
